software, today announced the appointment of David
W. Port as the company's vice president of worldwide
partner sales. In this role, Mr. Port will spearhead
and manage partner sales with key service providers,
ISVs, and resellers.
With more than 20 years of executive leadership experience in positions at leading technology leaders such as Callidus Software, Gupta Technologies, Sun Microsystems, and Vitria Technology, Mr. Port is uniquely positioned to cultivate and expand Digital Fuel's partner sales. "Digital Fuel provides unique capabilities that benefit both service providers as well as the clients they serve," said Digital Fuel CEO, Yisrael Dancziger. "David will be working with service providers to assist them in improving contract win ratios and adding value to their outsourcing relationships while increasing project margins." Previously, Port served as vice president of business development at Callidus Software, where he managed all aspects of the company's global partner initiatives including opening new markets, orchestrating new strategic alliances, and coordinating all channels to market. Prior to Callidus, Port held executive management positions at Blaze Software, which was acquired by Fair Isaac Corp., and Vitria Technology. Mr. Port holds an M.S.E. in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania with a major in artificial intelligence. He also holds a B.S. in Economics from the University's Wharton School.
