Ed Sterbenc Appointed to Head Worldwide Sales at Digital Fuel

Leader in SLA Management Software Expands Sales Capacity
SAN MATEO, Calif. – August 29, 2005 Digital Fuel, the leader in service level agreement (SLA) management software, today announced the appointment of Ed Sterbenc as the company’s executive vice president of sales. In this role, Mr. Sterbenc will grow the Digital Fuel sales team and head and coordinate all sales activities worldwide.

Sterbenc brings decades of sales experience at technology leaders such as IBM and Tandem Computers, as well as experience with start-ups SharkRack, Sylantro Systems, and Echelon. 

“Ed has the right combination of experience for Digital Fuel to take us to the next level of growth,” said Digital Fuel CEO Yisrael Dancziger. “He has the sales discipline and know-how gained at major software vendors, but also experience at rapid-growth start-ups.”

At Echelon, Ed was instrumental in driving revenues and taking that company public. Prior to that, Ed held a wide variety of management positions in 10 years at Tandem Computers, including managing the Americas Commercial field sales organization, Sales Operations for the Intercontinental Division, and served on the Boards of several Tandem subsidiaries including those in Canada, Japan, Chile, and Peru. Prior to Tandem, Ed held field sales and management positions with IBM for 11 years.  Mr. Sterbenc holds degrees in Industrial Management and Computer Science from Purdue University.
